18 years ago, Marisa and Kelvin committed to empowering people through employment. Today, Greymouse provides a virtual workforce for businesses all over the world.

Marisa used to work in an IT company in Brisbane. She got in various departments claiming roles from being a receptionist to being a customer service manager. She also spent most of her time working as a Help Desk Support, sitting with the IT geeks where she gained the skills and knowledge from.

When she moved to Fiji, she was able to work with a handful of techs who were very eager to learn, so Marisa took it as an opportunity to use her skills. She thought it was the right place for her to finally make a difference.

Then one night in 2002, at the end of a long day, Marisa got an idea. The idea was to start delivering outsourcing services from Australia to the rest of the world. Marisa spoke with her husband, Kelvin about it however, Kelvin said that the technology was not quite there yet and the internet was still poor and expensive.

However, even with a good business plan and with clients slowly coming in, getting more customers was a struggle. Financially, much more was being spent than what was being made. There were also frequent power outages and finding the right people with both the IT and customer service skills was also a challenge. Marisa and Kelvin were miles apart and overworked. For months, they were not together. Marisa started thinking twice.

But just as when everything was almost turning to a dead end, an opportunity from a corporate Australian client came. He believed in the capabilities of the team to support their IT infrastructure. From there, more clients came along and more services were required.

Greymouse aside from IT services began to deliver Bookkeeping, Marketing, Virtual Assistance and more. The company then spiralled to where it is now. And on September 2013, Greymouse expanded its operations and established an office in the Philippines. In January 2023, Greymouse has open an office in India.

At present, the market has been consistently growing which made us reach our 18th year. Needless to say, Greymouse has been true to its principle to continuously help alleviate poverty through transformational jobs, knowing that it has helped and given hope to hundreds of people across the globe.

When the pandemic outbreak happened, other team members transitioned to working from home. The company never faltered at odds just as with the many obstacles they’ve encountered before. Team work, commitment and dedication set forth as the team made adjustments in light of the current situation.

With Greymouse turning 18 this month, the company continues to serve as a great ideal of a BPO company that does not only help businesses succeed but also advocacy on poverty alleviation enabled Marisa and Kelvin to grow the business while also providing life-changing employment to people in dire need.

It has been a whirlwind kind of a journey – full of happiness, challenges and great lessons through the years. We could not have achieved what we have now without your support
