Happy June
Published by: Greymouse Marketing | 7 June, 2021
May you not miss a single moment of joy this June. This is your LIFE, after all.
We are 6 months into 2021, have you been looking after yourself?
We need to take a deep breath and destress once in a while especially because, in some ways, this pandemic has exhausted us to the brim. It has radically changed the way we live; affecting us from our work, in learning, and even to our social lives. This new reality poses a unique set of challenges for all of us.
Self-care is not selfish. Now more than ever, practicing self-care is essential when it comes to taking care of our emotional health and well-being. With all that is happening around the world, it is only likely for us to feel anxious and stressed. We must take our time to focus on what can make us feel better, and on what can give us importance. It can also ease our worries and help us get back on our feet.
Self-care can include myriad practices that you find both enjoyable and that in some way protect your physical, emotional, spiritual, or mental health. It is more than just taking care of your health and nutrition, hygiene, leisure, and activities, it can also be seeking professional healthcare services when needed, and much more.
Amid a global pandemic, the need to care for our health — all aspects of it — is of utmost importance because let’s face it: Navigating through this new normal is not easy. Whether it’s struggling to get your kids to partake in online learning, productively working from home all day long, sharing tight quarters with housemates for much longer hours than you’re used to, or being cut off (physically, at least) from loved ones, we feel you.
Putting yourself first is not a bad thing. Everyone has their matters to deal with.
Keep yourself in check, validate your feelings, move around or take a rest, find ways to ease stress, and spend more time with people who matter most. Let us all overcome this pandemic and make better versions of ourselves while at it.
