Published by: Greymouse Marketing | 29 August, 2022

Before becoming a Virtual Assistant, Danica was formerly a Quality Assurance Supervisor.

Changing careers may have been a challenge but she was all in the right attitude and mindset to overcome it! A year and two months later, she is now a virtual assistant— and one of value to the team.

One of the tips Danica shared with us when asked how she was able to get through her career change is to know what your goal is and how you’re going to get there.

“There will be failures, challenges, and sacrifices that will come your way but in life, there are no shortcuts. And everything has its process.” Danica believes that with the right motivation and inspiration from her family, she can go further in achieving her life goals.

Danica believes multi-tasking is an essential daily skill you must possess when you want to become a virtual assistant. “Task and time management is just as important as well. I take down notes and identify which needs to be prioritised first, and not hesitate when to ask for help from the team.” From checking, updating and analyzing reports, sheets and forms to calculating and clarifying payments and invoices, Danica can now do it all. Her daily tasks include:

Checking, updating and analyzing sheets
Monitoring updates from Bonus Incentives Calculator Sheet to be sent to the Team
Creating and sending Weekly Reports every Monday and Tuesday
Following up on posted op forms to the respective nurses or receptionist
Calculating and clarifying payments and invoices such as the deposits and balances

“Every day, I look forward to new learning. I can get the knowledge that I can get from the tasks and the people around me.” When asked about her daily mantra, Danica said “Every time I am in doubt, I always remember that even if it seems so far, at least I’m taking one step forward already.”

“Education and experience work hand in hand. They are both important to my career. [I believe that] my education is an important factor especially because my tasks involve communicating with clients. With experience, I was able to easily understand the importance and process of service.” Danica admitted that it was hard at the start— she had to calculate figures and become particular with information, some data and find important details but through discipline and believing in herself, she was able to crush it.

“Greymouse feels like home. I love what I do and I always strive to provide my clients with the best service. I also love how my teammates are welcoming and motivating!” Danica said when asked what’s the best part of working here in Greymouse. “Greymouse is a company that I can still see working within the next years of my life.” Danica describes Greymouse as a company with a huge place in her heart. “All the learning that I gained here will be applied to every opportunity that I get in the future.”
