A Day In The Life of Arman as Greymouse Test Analyst
Published by: Greymouse Marketing | 20 December, 2022
According to Arman, to be successful in his line of work, he believes that he must constantly be curious, learn new things, and strive for improvement. “I believe [in the saying that goes] always strive to be more interested than interesting.” This is the daily mantra that he has been living by for three years in Greymouse— as a Test Analyst

Arman is motivated by his eagerness to pick up new skills. “The fact that I am expanding my knowledge is a huge plus in itself. I also believe that issues are challenges which you inevitably would find a solution to when you keep at it through a positive mindset.”
With the right educational background to back him up, he regards Quality Assurance as one of the most important parts of the development process and with his programming skills and interest in technology, he became even more confident and hooked with the job he applied for.
As a QA Test Analyst, Arman was involved in many undertakings. His primary responsibility includes test preparation, resolving issues and assisting the team. Here is how Arman helps simPro, his client:
• | Review and analyse system specifications |
• | Collaborate with QA to develop effective strategies and test plans |
• | Execute test cases and analyse results |
• | Create logs to document testing phases and defects |
• | Conduct feature testing, test planning and execution |
• | Creating Manual Feature File |
• | Writing BDD (Behaviour Driven Development) Gherkin Script |
• | Run automation scripts |
• | Participate and contribute to scheduled Sprint review, retrospective, and planning meetings |
• | Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to the QA team lead and stakeholders |
• | Help troubleshoot issues |
• | Report bugs and errors to development teams |
• | Perform other tasks as assigned |
“Software testing is a fast-paced career with constantly changing technology, techniques, and skill sets, so I believe that to be successful in this field, you must be adaptable,” Arman emphasised.
“Greymouse helped me mould the technical skills I needed as well as my fluency in English. Together with the training I got from simPro and with the opportunities provided to me, I can overcome what was difficult on my part the past few years while starting.”
He is thankful to have the Greymouse team by his side— listening and supporting his growth while helping him upskill and gain extensive experience. He is also thankful that Greymouse was able to adapt and evolve through time, especially during this pandemic, when they had to transition working from home and getting used to the new normal.
“If you’re passionate about what you do, you’re more likely to go the extra mile to get the job done right. Every day, I look forward to working with the best and brightest group of people with our client (simPRO) who drives me to learn new things.”
